House at the End of the Street

Jennifer Lawrence lip-synced through a singing scene in new movie "House At The End Of The Street" because she didn't think her voice was good enough.

The actress plays a young singer named Elissa Cassidy in the new horror film, and the script called for her to play the guitar and croon. However, she asked the movie's music supervisor, Steve Lindsey, to hire a professional to sing the part.

He tells trade Variety, "Even (though) she was nervous, her humour about the situation shined through with her begging for us to 'Photoshop (edit)' her voice."

Session musician Sarah Rayne's voice was later dubbed over Lawrence's during post-production, fooling many film critics into thinking it was actually Lawrence they were hearing in the movie.
