Actor Billy Campbell played the part of a real life hero this week by rescuing the crew of a capsized boat.
The Enough star was sailing his vessel, the Martha Seabury, from Nova Scotia in Canada to Rhode Island when he spotted another boat floating upside down off the coast of Buzzards Bay in Massachusetts on Monday evening.
Campbell went to investigate and found three men clinging to the side of the boat, so the actor and his crew rescued them from the water.
The men were treated for hypothermia but sustained no other injuries, according to TMZ.com.
Campbell subsequently told fans about the dramatic rescue in a post on his Twitter.com page, and he also uploaded a photograph of his crew having dinner with the men.
In an accompanying caption, he writes, "Martha Seabury crew (and hosts) after rescuing 3 young men from almost certain death in Buzzard's Bay, Massa (sic)."
