One Direction star Zayn Malik was hospitalized in Los Angeles after hurting his foot following the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday.

The singer, who picked up three trophies at the prize giving with his band mates, was photographed hobbling out of an L.A. hospital on crutches on Friday sporting a bandaged foot.

Malik and his One Direction pals ended up partying with Justin Bieber following the awards show and the singer is rumored to have hurt himself during their celebrations.

The 19 year old flew back to his native Britain on Saturday and was pictured using his crutches as he made his way through LAX airport with his band mate Niall Horan.
