Singer Bobby Brown has asked fans to pray for his wife after she was hospitalized.

Alicia Etheridge, who married Brown in Hawaii in June, is believed to have been taken to an emergency room in Orlando, Florida after suffering a seizure on Saturday.

Brown, who was in Florida to perform with his group New Edition, took to Twitter.com to confirm reports about his wife's medical emergency.

He tweeted, "The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and in good spirits. Please keep my family in your prayers."

Brown completed a three-week stint in rehab last month amid reports he is suffering from a drink problem.
