Hilary Duff is returning to her small screen roots after signing a development deal with 20th Century Fox Television.
The 24 year old shot to fame as a teenager in 2001 playing the title role in the Disney Channel's comedy Lizzie McGuire, and went on to forge a successful movie and singing career.
Duff has since played small parts in shows including Gossip Girl and Community, but she has now signed a deal which will see her produce and star in her own comedy.
The news was first reported by industry website Deadline.com, and Duff confirmed the report in a post on her Twitter.com page on Monday.
She told fans, "Ok it's official! Very excited about my development deal with 20th Century Fox!! T.V. here I come!"
