Rock veteran Peter Frampton has suffered minor injuries after he was involved in a car accident on Tuesday.

The "Baby, I Love Your Way" hitmaker claims he was sitting in traffic on a West Coast highway when a female driver allegedly rear-ended his car because she was paying more attention to her cell phone than the road.

In a series of Twitter.com posts, he writes, "Texting woman driver just ran into back of me while I was stationary in traffic 101 freeway. Can u say whiplash? People put the phones down!"

However, Frampton, 62, decided to put off seeking medical attention until after a trip to the airport.

He adds, "Back and neck not good. Going to ER (emergency room) after my flight today."
