Sofia Vergara will play Peter Griffin's fantasy love interest in Fox animated series "Family Guy."

Forbes recently crowned Vergara the highest-paid actress on television.  She made $19 million in the last 12 months from her ABC series "Modern Family" and three films, including "The Three Stooges."

The actress is becoming one of television's highly-sought stars. She is also starring in an upcoming hip-hop-themed episode of animated program " The Cleveland Show," also on FOX, and the films "Machete Kills" and "Fading Gigolo."

Vergara's "Family Guy" episode will air during its eleventh season, set to premiere on Sept. 30. The series will also feature guest appearances by Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds and "Twilight" hunk Kellan Lutz.
