James Cameron Moves To Dismiss $2.5 Billion 'Avatar' Lawsuit

James Cameron has asked a judge to dismiss a $2.5 billion lawsuit filed by a man who alleges the director stole his idea for Avatar.
Sci-fi screenwriter Bryant Moore filed suit against Cameron late last year, claiming the moviemaker based his highly-successful film on his scripts for two projects called Aquatica and Descendants: The Pollination.
Moore alleges Avatar shares key plot details with his work and is demanding billions of dollars in damages.
Nonetheless, Cameron has now filed his own legal documents in a bid to have the case thrown out, insisting Avatar's plot and characters are completely different to Moore's projects, and urging a judge to dismiss the lawsuit immediately, according to TMZ.com.
