Alec Baldwin was so enraged at a reporter for leaking a private voice mail about his daughter, he fantasized about killing him.

The 30 Rock star became the center of attention in 2007 after a message, in which he called his now 16-year-old daughter Ireland a "rude, thoughtless little pig," was made public via news website TMZ.com under the direction of producer Harvey Levin.

Baldwin, who claims his anger boiled over after trying to reach the child for days, has since patched up his relationship with the teen but the negative media publicity largely destroyed his reputation, leading the actor to dream about getting the ultimate revenge.

He tells Vanity Fair magazine, "I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking in my eyes."

However, the funnyman, who still boasts a reputation as a hot-headed star following two alleged altercations with the paparazzi over the last month, insists he's learned to move on, adding, "You have to let that go. Enough time - I mean, it does heal wounds."
