Usher Gets Restraining Order Against Stalker Who Claimed She Was His Wife
Usher has obtained a temporary restraining order against a fan who claimed she was his wife.
Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw, 26, appeared uninvited to the R&B star's Georgia home on Saturday, pounded on his front door, and demanded to be let in, according to court documents.
Usher called the police. They told Jones-Rakestraw to move on. She did but retured the next day, according to TMZ.com. Officers once again went to Usher's house, and the trespasser tried to convince them she was the singer's wife and had simply misplaced her keys.
Jones-Rakestraw was arrested, and Usher filed for the restraining order. He is hoping to make it more permanent at a hearing next month, claiming the woman "placed (him) in reasonable fear for his own safety and/or the safety of his immediate family."
Meanwhile, Jones-Rakestraw posted a video on YouTube on Wednesday, claiming Usher has been sending her cash since last year, promising to make living arrangements for her. She also alleges he promised to help with her music career.
In the video, she states, "I'm not a stalker... (Usher) has officially slandered me and defamed my character."
