Uggie Set For His 'Pawprint' Ceremony
The canine star of The Artist is to leave his mark in Hollywood with a pawprint ceremony at the historic Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Jack Russell terrier Uggie became a sensation last year after sharing the screen with French actor Jean Dujardin in the Oscar-winning silent movie, but he retired from Hollywood earlier this year after a decade in the spotlight.
In February, Uggie was named Best Dog in a Theatrical Film at the first Golden Collar Awards, awarded by Dog News Daily.
However, Uggie's legacy will live on - he's been invited to plant his paws in wet cement outside Grauman's, alongside handprints and autographs left by icons including Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant and Frank Sinatra.
Uggie's pawprint ceremony will take place on Monday.
