Gene Simmons daughter Sophie auditioned for a spot on TV talent show "The X Factor" yesterday. The Kiss rocker's kid performed for Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid in San Francisco, Calif., and her dad offered moral support.
 
Simmons had no idea his daughter was trying out for the show until she called him on Saturday night to reveal why she wouldn't be at home in Los Angeles for Father's Day, according to TMZ.com
 
Sophie isn't the only famous offspring to try out for a spot on a TV talent show. Jim Carrey's daughter Jane was a contestant on American Idol. She was kicked off the show after the first round.
