Katie Holmes more than made up for missing out on husband Tom Cruise's Friars Club honor ceremony in New York on Tuesday night by making the suit he wore to the event.

Cruise attended the gala, where he became only the fourth person in history to be handed the organization's Entertainment Icon Award, with his children Suri, Connor and Isabella, but Holmes was noticeably absent.

The movie star said, "Unfortunately my wife has to be in China and when these dates moved around she couldn't move her schedule, but she made this suit for me to wear tonight so she is with me."

The Batman Begins beauty has her own fashion line with stylist Jeanne Yang, titled Holmes & Yang.
