Rocker Sebastian Bach is heading to the small screen to play a rock star in the new series of Californication.

The former Skid Row singer has signed up to portray a guitar player on David Duchovny's popular TV drama, and Bach filmed his scenes for the episode last week.

He shared the news with fans on his Facebook.com page by uploading a photo of himself posing with Duchovny underneath a huge poster bearing his image with the caption: "Very excited to be on the show! I play a guitar player as you can see by this pic..."

"My role on the show is killer and interesting and I am honored to be part of Californication's sixth season!"
