Ray J Sued Over Missing Designer Clothes
R&B star Ray J is facing legal action from a Los Angeles stylist after failing to return a number of designer clothes he was given to wear for a 2012 Grammy Awards event.
Marc Littlejohn claims he let the Sexy Can I hitmaker borrow two suits and a jacket worth a total of $2,880 on February 10.
However, the items allegedly went missing after they were left in the Beverly Hilton hotel room where Ray J's on/off girlfriend Whitney Houston died the following day - on the eve of music's big night.
The pricey clothes were never returned and Littlejohn recently filed a lawsuit for damages to cover the cost of the pieces.
However, a representative for Ray J tells TMZ.com the whole incident has been one big mix-up - Houston's relatives reportedly removed the clothes from the hotel suite along with the rest of the superstar's belongings and kept hold of them as they were unable to get in touch with the singer, who had changed his phone number, according to TMZ.com.
Ray J managed to get the suits back on Tuesday night after learning of the lawsuit and he now intends to settle the issue with Littlejohn.
