Actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson have become the latest stars to land a guest spot on hit TV series Glee.
The Sex and the City veteran and new mom Hudson have each signed up for multi-episode arcs on the show's upcoming fourth season, which is set to premiere this autumn.
According to Fox President Kevin Reilly, the season will feature a show-within-a-show format and also revolve around the graduating characters played by Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Cory Monteith, as they head off to their respective colleges.
He tells The Hollywood Reporter, "Glee is really positioned for a strong year."
Details of Parker and Hudson's characters remain unknown but principal cast member Colfer teased the news during an appearance on Live With Kelly on Monday, stating, "I just found out last night that Sarah Jessica Parker is coming on our show to be my mentor of sorts, so I'm really excited about that."
Parker and Hudson join a long list of celebrities who have previously featured in the Golden Globe Award-winning musical series - Ricky Martin, Neil Patrick Harris and Gwyneth Paltrow have also appeared.
