CSI Miami

TV producers have canceled long-running crime drama CSI: Miami after 10 years on air.

The series, which stars David Caruso as Detective Horatio Caine, is a spin-off of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and it launched as a separate show in 2002.

Nevertheless, TV chiefs at CBS have now confirmed CSI: Miami will not return after the latest season.

A statement from the network reads, "CSI: Miami leaves an amazing television legacy - a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS's rise to the top over the past decade... We thank all the producers... and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons."

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and secondary spin-off CSI: NY will continue.
