A New York judge approved a child support settlement between supermodel Linda Evangelista and ex-boyfriend Francois-Henri Pinault. In a joint statement, Evangelista and Pinault said, "We are happy that we were able to reach an agreement for the benefit and well-being of our son, Augie."
 
A trial between the model and the French billionaire began in Manhattan Family Court last week. Evangelista wanted a staggering $46,000-a-month to support her five-year-old son Augustin James.

Pinault and Evangelista had a brief affair when the he was separated from his now-wife, actress Salma Hayek. Pinault allegedly told the model to have an abortion.

Court documents revealed the difficulties Hayek had experienced while she was pregnant with her and Pinault's daughter Valentina, who they believed would be born with Down syndrome. The girl, now four, was born healthy.
 
On Monday the exes managed to reach a financial agreement. The details of the deal have been sealed.
