Katy Perry has sparked speculation of a new romance after she was snapped hand-in-hand with Florence And The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd at California's Coachella festival.

The I Kissed a Girl hit-maker split from husband Russell Brand in late 2011 and was rumored to be dating French model Baptiste Giabiconi after they were pictured looking close on several occasions earlier this year.

Perry hinted to fans last month she is unattached, posting a cryptic tweet which ended "singleandsatisfied" - but she's now been linked to rocker Ackroyd.

The pair was spotted in the crowd at the Indio festival on Sunday as Perry's pop star pal Rihanna performed with Calvin Harris, and were later snapped holding hands as they walked in front of the crowd barrier at the event.
