Kanye West has changed the name of his new song Theraflu following objections from the makers of the cold and flu medicine.

Theraflu bosses were quick to deny any association with the rapper after he debuted the track earlier this month, with a representative telling TMZ.com, "We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner."

West has now renamed the track and replaced the Theraflu packaging cover art with an image of a plain white bottle.

A statement posted on his website reads, "Today, Kanye announces the creative decision to title the track Way Too Cold."

Animal rights activists at PETA have also criticized West over the controversial song's lyrics, which include a line about a mink fur coat.
