Country star Mindy McCready is a mom again - the singer gave birth to her second child, Zayne, on Monday.
The 37 year old told reporters she was pregnant with twins during a custody battle over her six-year-old son Zander at the end of 2011, but there was no mention of another child in a statement she made on Thursday.
She wrote, "Zayne is truly a blessing and a joy. It was a long and trying pregnancy; we're so happy he's here. There are no words to convey how happy we are."
The baby's father is music producer David Wilson.
The birth comes months after the star sparked a manhunt in November when she took Zander from her mother's home in Florida and spent a week hiding out with him in Arkansas.
The singer's mom is Zander's legal guardian and has been since she was awarded custody of the boy when the fallen star was incarcerated in 2007.
A judge ordered McCready to return the child to Florida. He is currently in foster care while his mother, father Billy McKnight and grandma Gayle Inge battle over custody.
