Ongoing criticism about his appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards last Sunday has prompted actor Ashton Kutcher to defend himself again.
 
The star's cowboy clothing and a Capella rendition of George Strait's "I Cross My Heart" onstage at the Las Vegas ceremony had many stars questioning his motives, with many of country's elite suggesting he shouldn't have been at the event at all.
 
Others, like Miranda Lambert, who received an award from Kutcher, suggested he was actually mocking the genre.
 
The actor took to Twitter.com earlier this week to respond to remarks Lambert made, stating he was a fan.
 
The "Two and a Half Men" star, who donned a red blazer and cowboy hat for guest presenting duties at the prizegiving, wrote, "Miranda_Lambert I Am One Of The biggest country Music fans you've ever met. Wasn't making fun at all."
 
And now Kutcher has taken to Twitter again to respond to a tweet country singer Justin Moore posted, in which he called the actor "a douche", and added, "I don't care for people making a mockery of the way country artists dress."
 
On Friday, Kutcher wrote, "I grew up idolizing the style of the (country supergroup) Highway Men, Hank, Merle, Patsy Cline, Dolly. Starting to wonder if new country just doesn't get it.
 
"Justin Moore calls it mocking I call it respecting your Elders. Maybe that's old fashion. Know when to fold em brother..."
 
Know when to fold 'em is a reference to Kenny Rogers' classic country tune "The Gambler."
