Actress Jennifer Lawrence has been given the ultimate compliment about her bowmanship in The Hunger Games - rocker and outdoorsman Ted Nugent is a big fan.
For her role as heroine Katniss Everdeen, Lawrence studied archery for months so she would look the part of a talented hunter in the film - and Nugent is very impressed with her skills.
A member of the Bowhunters Hall of Fame, Nugent tells USA Today Lawrence hit the bullseye with her performance.
He says, "All of us archers and bowhunters are so very happy to see real honest-to-God archery form being displayed properly for a change."
"Proper archery is one of life's most beautiful ballets, especially when executed by a beautiful woman like Jennifer. It makes for the ultimate eye-candy."
Lawrence trained extensively with four-time Olympian Khatuna Lorig prior to filming, and tells the new issue of Rolling Stone, "It's annoying how perfect it had to be. You'd do one thing wrong and you'd get whipped (by the bow)."
