British pop star Tulisa Contostavlos is reportedly suing her ex-boyfriend for $160,000 after their sex tape leaked on the internet.
The former N-Dubz star spoke of her devastation after the explicit footage, showing her performing a sex act on former partner Justin Edwards, appeared online earlier this week.
In a message to fans, she blamed Edwards for the leak and added, "As you can imagine, I am devastated, heartbroken. When you share an intimate moment with someone that you love and care about and trust, you never imagine that footage will be shared with the world... I have been deeply betrayed by him."
Now Britain's Sun on Sunday reports Contostavlos has launched legal action against Edwards, who denies leaking the tape, and is demanding damages for breach of confidence and privacy.
A source reveals Edwards "feels he can't talk publicly now because of this". The insider adds: "She's suing for up to £100,000. This latest move by Tulisa has really unnerved and unsettled him. It's serious stuff and he's got to take it seriously. It's a lot of pressure for him."
Contostavlos sought a court injunction to ban the tape and an application to extend the emergency injunction will be heard at London's High Court on Monday.
Meanwhile, a representative for the star has dismissed gossip Contostavlos leaked the tape herself to boost publicity for the launch of her new solo single, Young.
Spokesman Simon Jones says, "It is absolutely ludicrous for people to suggest the tape was a publicity stunt. The song was recorded last year and the video filmed last month. It is complete insanity to say she leaked the sex tape herself.
"She has put her heart and soul into her solo career."
