Robbie RistOne of the stars of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has written an angry letter to director Michael Bay over his plans to remake the films.

The Transformers helmer is planning to bring back the characters for a new live action movie, but actor Robbie Rist, who played Michaelangelo in the 1990s films, is not happy with Bay's idea to recreate the turtles as "alien" life form instead of radioactive mutants.

Rist has written an open letter to Bay and posted the note on his Facebook.com page.

He writes, "You probably don't know me but I did some voice work on the first set of movies that you are starting to talk about sodomizing. Look man, I think you have some pretty nifty action ideas... but seriously, Teenage ALIEN Ninja Turtles?

"I know believing in mutated talking turtles is kinda silly to begin with but am I supposed to be led to believe there are ninjas from another planet?... Oh what the hell am I talking to you for? The rape of our childhood memories continues..."
