Pregnant Jessica Simpson celebrated the impending birth of her first child with family and friends in Los Angeles on Sunday.
 
Jessica Alba and Simpson's sister Ashlee were among the guests invited to the baby shower, which was organized by top event planner Mindy Weiss.
 
Last week Simpson told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres she was already experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions, and revealed her baby girl is due within weeks.
 
The father is the singer's fiance, former footballer Eric Johnson.
