Actress Jennie Garth is convinced she and her estranged husband Peter Facinelli are doing the "right thing" by splitting after 11 years of marriage.

The couple stunned fans on Tuesday when it was announced Garth and the Twilight star were divorcing, and the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star has now opened up about the broken relationship for her forthcoming reality show Little Bit Country, in which the actress takes on farm life.

Speaking candidly for the cameras, the actress admits she is dreading life as a single mother, but she's adamant the couple has made the best decision for its three young children.

In a new clip from the TV show, she says, "Being out here on my own with the girls is not going to be easy, but I know it's the right thing for us right now. I feel it in my heart. I'm excited about what's next."

Garth and Facinelli issued a follow-up statement after confirming the divorce news to deny rumors the Twilight star's alleged infidelity was the reason for the split.
