Actress Sean Young has escaped charges following her arrest at the official Oscars afterparty last month.
The Blade Runner star became embroiled in a dispute with a security guard at the Governors Ball in Los Angeles as she stood outside the event and snapped photos of the celebrity guests. She was placed under citizen's arrest after allegedly hitting the bouncer before police arrived on the scene to take her into custody.
Young was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery, but authorities have now chosen not to pursue the charge.
A representative for the Los Angeles City Attorney's office tells TMZ.com, "Our prosecutors declined to file charges... due to insufficient evidence. No further action is expected."
Following the incident, Young demanded an apology from Academy Award bosses, alleging she was bruised and humiliated during the bust-up with the guard. She has since been spotted wearing a neck brace in public.
