Taylor Swift was the top musical money maker in 2011, according to Billboard.com.
 
The country star's estimated $35.7 million haul from her "Speak Now Tour" profits, album sales and digital successes, gave her the edge over U2 and fellow country star Kenny Chesney on the new rich list.
 
Also making the top five: Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne, while Sade, Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Jason Aldean and Adele round out the top 10.

Taylor currently stars in "The Lorax," which is also doing great financially. Last week it shattered box office records by grossing a whopping $70.7 million in its opening weekend. The film centers on a young boy who encounters a cantankerous forest creature after venturing outside of his artificial city in search of a tree.
