'Idol' Wannabe Phillip Phillipps Fine After Kidney Stones Surgery
A contestant on "American Idol" has undergone surgery to remove kidney stones.
Phillip Phillips complained of intense stomach pain earlier this week and was hospitalized on Thursday morning, and his father told TMZ.com he has had kidney stones removed.
However, Phillips is already out of the hospital and returned to the Idol set to hear if his rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" on Wednesday's show secured him his spot in the competition.
Host Ryan Seacrest revealed on Twitter, "In idol rehearsal now, I can tell u @PPhillipsAI11 is here and doing ok. Expect to see him on ur tv tonight."
Contestant Jeremy Rosado was sent home.
