Actor David Arquette is single again after splitting from girlfriend Christina McLarty.

The Scream star began dating TV reporter McLarty last summer following his separation from wife Courteney Cox in October, 2010.

Arquette recently admitted he held off telling his young daughter Coco about his new romance for several months until he was certain their love was for real, but the relationship has now ended.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, Arquette writes, "Sadly, I'm single again. A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult."
