Keanu Reeves has confirmed a new Bill & Ted movie is planned and the script is 'bodacious'.

The movie star tells The Independent he's just waiting for a start date.

He says, "We have a script. We're trying to put it together. It's a good script too."

Reeve's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure co-star Alex Winter also can't wait to reprise his time-traveling character, adding via Twitter.com, "Script done? Check. We love it? Check. Green light? Working on it!"

The original Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure came out in 1989 and there was a sequel, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey in 1991. The franchise also enjoyed success on TV thanks to an animated series.
