Ashley Tisdale and Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson chose Elton John's annual Oscars party on Sunday as the perfect platform to make their public debut as a couple.

The actress ended her two year relationship with music video director Scott Speer in December and was rumored to have struck up a romance with Johnson.

They ensured their first red carpet appearance together was extra special by turning up at the Rocket Man's AIDS Foundation Academy Award viewing party in Los Angeles.

They posed for snaps arm-in-arm before making their way into the bash, where celebrity guests including Katy Perry and Heidi Klum enjoyed Hollywood's big night.
