Former Frank Zappa, Little Feat Bassist Sentenced To 25 Years In Prison For Child Abuse
Legendary rocker Frank Zappa's longtime bassist Roy Estrada has been sentenced to serve 25 years behind bars for child abuse.
The 68 year old, who served time in a California prison for committing a lewd act with a child, is back in jail for molesting a child younger than 14 over an extended period of time, according to RollingStone.com.
Melody McDonald, a spokeswoman for the Tarrant County, Texas district attorney's office, tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper, "The victim's family was unaware that he was a convicted sex offender... Estrada was sentenced to 25 years in a plea bargain agreement and is not eligible for parole. He will be 93 years old before he is released from prison."
Estrada, who was a member of Frank Zappa's band the Mothers of Invention, is also a founding member of rockers Little Feat.
