Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones is recovering in the hospital after undergoing heart surgery, according to a report.
The rocker reportedly checked into the Mount Sinai Heart Institute in Miami Beach, Florida earlier this week for an urgent bypass procedure and is now said to be making a good recovery.
After the surgery, he was treated in an intensive care ward but was moved out of the specialist unit on Thursday night, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
A source tells the publication, "The surgery was more urgent because Mick had needed it for some time."
Jones sparked fears for his health last year after he fell sick and missed several gigs, including a massive concert with Journey in Los Angeles in October, but a representative for the star refused to confirm the nature of his illness.
