Santana Set For New Las Vegas Residency
Guitar legend Carlos Santana is set to return to Las Vegas for another residency this spring.
The "Black Magic Woman" hitmaker will play a string of shows at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay from May to June and then return to the venue in September for an extended run, which will continue through 2013.
He says, "I am deeply honored that our new home in Las Vegas is The House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. I have long admired their love of the Blues and that it is a world-class entertainment venue. We hope to honor and celebrate the diversity and brotherhood of world culture that the House of Blues promotes."
In 2009, Santana became the first rock 'n' roll artist to take over Sin City with a residency gig at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
A portion of the proceeds from tickets sold for the new shows will benefit Santana's The Milagro Foundation, a charity which supports children's health, art, and education programs.
