Whitney Houston Was Refused Facelift After Medical Exam - Weeks Before Death

Signs of Whitney Houston's deteriorating health were becoming apparent weeks before her death. A plastic surgeon refused to perform a facelift on the late singer after she failed a standard medical check, reports Radar Online.
A source told Radar Online "She was concerned about her appearance and wanted a facelift." But Dr. Marc Mani denied the singer's request after a standard check up on her heart, liver, and lungs. It's most likely the doctor was concerned that Houston would not survive the use of anesthesia.
While the doctor would not comment directly on Houston's case, he told the website "In the years past, I have cancelled surgeries based on medical clearance both for celebrities and other patients. I feel very strongly about celebrities’ being overindulged by physicians, I treat a lot of them and care for them."
Unfortunately, it appears there are a few doctors without Dr. Mani's standards. Houston's coroner has issued several subpoenas to find what prescriptions she had been granted. While this is standard procedure for the coroner, several sources believe Houston's star power allowed her to receive drugs she did not need.
