Whitney Houston's Funeral Planned For Friday In New Jersey
Whitney Houston will be laid to rest in her native New Jersey on Friday, according to reports.
The late soul superstar was found lying unconscious and underwater in her bathtub in her suite at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton hotel on Saturday.
An autopsy, which proved inconclusive, was conducted on Sunday and Houston's remains were released to her family on Monday.
Her body is expected to be transported to America's East Coast on Tyler Perry's private jet, after the filmmaker/actor offered up the use of his aircraft to Houston's grieving relatives, reports TMZ.com.
A wake for the singer is being planned for Thursday, while a funeral service will take place at the Prudential Center arena in Newark on Friday, reports the Associated Press.
Houston's cause of death has been deferred pending the results of toxicology tests.
