Rapper/singer M.I.A. has split from her longtime fiancé Benjamin Bronfman, according to a report.
The star, who is currently under fire for flipping her middle finger during her Super Bowl performance on Sunday, is reportedly living a separate life from the billionaire businessman, the father of her son Ikhyd, who was born in 2009.
According to the New York Daily News, the British singer is now spending most of her time in her native London, while Bronfman lives in the Big Apple.
A U.K. spokesman for M.I.A. had not responded to a request for comment as WENN went to press.
M.I.A., real name Mathangi Arulpragasam, has previously spoken of ruling out a "quickie wedding" to Bronfman despite having visa issues in America, where the pair had hoped to settle down in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.
She said, "That's what they (immigration officials) want me to do, but I'm not going to lose my integrity for that s**t... I actually want a nice wedding. I'm not going to blow that. If they're gonna kick me out, it's going to be a fight, it's an important fight to have."
The star has been heavily criticized for her rude hand gesture during her Super Bowl half-time performance alongside Madonna on Sunday, which prompted officials at NBC network to apologize to shocked viewers.
