Rocker Steven Van Zandt's new TV comedy has become a big hit in Norway, the country where it's set.
More than one million locals tuned in to watch the first episode of Lilyhammer on Thursday, which means one in five Norwegians saw the show about an FBI informer hiding from the Mafia in Scandinavia.
The show brought in the biggest ratings ever for Norwegian public broadcaster NRK1, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
DVD distribution company Netflix has bought the rights for the series in America and will stream all eight episodes of the first season next month. A second series has already been commissioned.
