Actress Marg Helgenberger was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday just days ahead of her last appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The star has played forensics expert Catherine Willows on the program since it premiered back in 2000, but decided to leave the show after its 12th and current season.
Her big finale will air on Wednesday, and she left her mark on the fabled Walk of Fame after she was awarded the boulevard's 2,458th star.
Helgenberger was joined by co-stars and pals including Dana Delany, Jorja Fox and Ted Danson and she remembered how she first wanted to be an actress after originally aiming to be a health professional.
She told the crowd, "Somehow, the thrill of bringing written characters got under my skin and I shelved a potential nursing career for a much more stable career in the entertainment business."
