Rosie O'Donnell has decided not to invite her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter to her upcoming wedding, because she is adamant the former couple should lead "separate lives."
The pair wed in 2004 but Carpenter moved out of their home in 2007, with O'Donnell announcing their split in 2010.
They share four children and remain on good terms, but the chat show host believes they should keep their private lives separate and O'Donnell is not planning to invite her when she weds new partner Michelle Rounds.
She tells CNN's Piers Morgan, "(I get on with her) really well. She's happy and with a lovely women, a singer from New York. (But) I think it's good we have separate lives. When she has the children, I try not to call and when I have the children she tries to do that same thing, and I don't know if would feel right for either of us (for her to be at the wedding) and the same when she and (her partner) Anne get married, I don't think it would be right for me to be there. But I love her, I will always love her."
