Modern Family star Sarah Hyland suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday when the zipper of her gown broke just before a live TV interview.

The young actress was just about to step up to the E! News podium when she realized something was amiss.
 
She says, "I was just standing there waiting to come up... and I just kinda felt, like, an explosion in my back... I felt my back and I felt bare back."
 
Hyland grabbed her dress at the last minute before she was left standing in her underwear and the TV crew came to her rescue with a sewing kit and some expert damage control.
