Mark Wahlberg's 'Contraband' Takes Weekend Top Box Office Spot

Mark Wahlberg's new movie Contraband has debuted at the top of the U.S. box office with a $24 million opening weekend take.

The remake of Baltasar Kormakur's cult Icelandic thriller Reykjavik-Rotterdam ended horror film The Devil Inside's one-week run at the top.
 
Beauty and the Beast took in $18.5 million over the weekend to come in second, while Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible sequel Ghost Protocol falls to four. Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton's new choir film Joyful Noise debuts at five.
