Kelsey Grammer has spoken out about impending fatherhood for the first time, confirming his wife of 11 months is pregnant with twins.

The actor's British bride, Kayte Walsh, is in her second trimester and dad-to-be Grammer couldn't be prouder.
 
Grammer saluted his wife on the stage at the Golden Globes on Sunday as he picked up a Best Actor prize for his role in Boss, and he continued to gush backstage in the press room, stating, "Fatherhood is always different based upon the character that comes into your life. They arrive and tell you what you have to do. I'm really looking forward to meeting these new arrivals in our lives, yes twins.
 
"My wife will make an extraordinary mother. She's one of the most loving, amazing, warm human beings I've ever met. She's funny and serious, scary and humorous all at the same time. She's an amazing person and I think she'll blow 'em away."
 
The babies will be Grammer's fifth and sixth kids.
