Mariah Carey's ailing husband Nick Cannon has been released from the hospital after undergoing surgery on Friday.
The actor and TV personality suffered acute kidney failure during a winter break in Aspen, Colorado, and he was transferred to a Los Angeles hospital last week so he could be closer to the home he shares with Carey and their twin babies.
Doctors operated on Cannon on Friday, and he was subsequently allowed to leave the medical facility to recuperate with his loved ones - and he's planning to be back at work on his radio show next week.
His representative tells People.com, "Nick Cannon was released over the weekend to be with his family. He is resting and recovering at home and would like to thank everyone who has expressed concern, well wishes and prayers.
"He plans to return to his live morning radio show broadcast Rollin' with Nick Cannon on 92.3 NOW FM on January 17th."
