'The Tree Of Life' Tops Online Film Critics Awards

Terrence Malick's complex The Tree Of Life has been handed another honor - officials at the Online Film Critics Society have named the movie their Best Picture of the Year.
 
The film, starring Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain and Sean Penn, picked up seven awards on Monday, including Best Director for Malick, Best Supporting Actress for Chastain and Best Cinematography for Emmanuel Lubezski.

Other winners included Michael Fassbender (Best Actor for Shame), Tilda Swinton (Best Actress for We Need to Talk About Kevin) and Christopher Plummer (Best Supporting Actor for Beginners).

Meanwhile, Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris picked up the Online Film Critics' Best Original Screenplay honor and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy landed the Best Adapted Screenplay prize.

Rango continued its dominance as the year's top animated movie and A Separation was named Best Film Not in the English Language.
