'The Help' And 'The Artist' To Fight For Producers Guild Of America's Top Prize

The HelpThe Help, The Artist, Moneyball and The Descendants have all been given an Oscars boost by officials at the Producers Guild of America after landing among the 10 nominees competing for the organization's 2012 movie prize.

The quartet of films have been joined by Steven Spielberg's War Horse, Bridesmaids, Hugo, Midnight in Paris, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and The Ides of March on the shortlist for the coveted Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award in Theatrical Motion.

Meanwhile, The Adventures of Tintin, Cars 2, Kung Fu Panda 2, Puss in Boots and Oscars favorite Rango will battle it out for the animated honor.

And the producers of 30 Rock, The Big Bang Theory, Glee, Modern Family and Parks and Recreation scored mentions for The Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television (Comedy) and bosses at Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, Game of Thrones, The Good Wife and Mad Men will duke it out for the The Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television (Drama).

The winners will be unveiled at a ceremony in Los Angeles on January 21.
