In "Contagion" Steven Soderbergh presents a look at what happens when an infectious disease threatens humanity through varied viewpoints from an ensemble cast, including Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laurence Fishburne, and Kate Winslet.

The film opened at number one in September with $23.1 million.

Jude Law fears scenes from the film could be played out in real life. He is convinced there is a "very high likelihood" of an imminent worldwide pandemic.

Earlier this year he told Britain's Daily Express, "Well, the truth of the matter is I think it's going to happen. You only have to look back to the Spanish flu outbreak in 1919. It killed one per cent of the world's population, more than the First World War. That's a lot of people."
