Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller has had her arraignment on drug charges postponed until next month.

The troubled reality TV star was arrested on suspicion of third degree assault and drug possession in Aspen, Colorado, following a scuffle at a nightclub on December 2. She was also booked on possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and was due to answer to the counts on Monday.

But the Aspen District Attorney has now delayed the court date until January 23.

The decision gives Mueller time to overcome her addiction issues - she checked into a rehabilitation centre earlier this week in a bid to put a stop to her long-running problems once and for all.
